Despite the devastation, I read that Israel has today denied Human Rights Watch and aid agencies entry to the Gaza Strip.
This is in-line with their continuing Gaza blockade, supported by USA, EU and Egypt, which, we believe, amounts to “collective punishment” in violation of International Humanitarian Law (Fourth Geneva Convention).
Again we say…
It is totally unacceptable for any people to have to live between starvation (the blockade includes food, fuel, building materials, you name it, …) and bombardment.
Obama must order an immediate policy change to relieve the severe humanitarian suffering. Otherwise I fear the dire Gaza situation will slide to disaster.
